AIM OF THE ORGANISATION
To provide activities for young people (primarily in the Leith Area) that will support their development, increase their skills and extend their outlook.
DRAMA CLUBS (P1-P4 & p5-S6)
Drama activities for all young people run in two clubs (age specific). The clubs produce two shows per year.
Objectives:
- to provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment
- to provide arts, science and ICT activities for young people
- to provide age appropriate activities in selective age groups
- to provide a 'means' for young people to express their ideas and feelings
- to involve young people in the decision making process
- to raise awareness of and challenge bullying and discrimination
- to encourage all the young people to work co-operatively as a team
- to encourage the creative use of ICT in arts based projects
- to promote a mutually respective environment
- to have an inclusive ethos to underpin the work of the organisation
- to build confidence through peformance and appropriate praise
FILM MAKERS CLUB (p5-s6)
Enabling young people to produce and edit short films. Films have included issue based work on 'bullying' and 'school uniform'
CRAFT CLUB (P1-P4)
A provision for younger children to use craft materials creatively.
COMPUTER CLUB (3 clubs)
An opportunity to use computers for arts based activties, such as creating music and digital images,
